Mr. Charles D. Tillman, of Atlanta, haa charge of the singing snd has a large choir composed of many of the best voices In the town. The meet ings are being held In the Woodard Warehouse, which hns been equipped for the occasion. A gr-at amount of interest Is being manifested. Over 1.100 people have attended the night ly meetings. Mr. A. J. Moore, who for some time has been agent of the Atlantic Coast Line here, haa been promoted and transferred to tha head office at Wilmington. Our cltlxens generally regret that Mr. Moore will leave Wilson. He ha made a most popu lar and efficient official here. The Business Men's Association, st a meeting held last evening, appointed committee to prepare resolutions of regret over Mr. Moore' leaving. Ihe Wilson telephone system has been very unsatisfactory and, at meeting of the Business Men's Asso elation last night, thla matter was the principal subject discussed. Th subscribers want a better local ser vice and especially a better long die tance service. At present, to get Bell connection out of town It necessary to go to the central office The buslneaa men want thla connec tlon at their offices and homes. Th telephone people have offered the de sired service but not on satisfactory terms. It Is likely, however, that th matter will be adjusted at an early date.
