Aside from about fifteen guests who were In the building at the time, about twfve of ihe hotel employes escaped uninjured. TWO SEVERELY INJURED. Two of the guests sustained broken limbs, but the remainder escaped with alight bruises. Srveral Jumped from the third story windows to the ground the fall being broken by the porches, which possibly raved them. J. E. Montague, the proprietor, who Jumped tm th second-story win dow. Is among one of the worst In jured. His arms ere sprained and ho haa a bruised back. Aa the hotel register was burned, It Is Impossible to ascertain the cor rect list of all the guests, but there la evidence that no one wa3 burned. It was first reported that the occu pant of Room 1 was lost, but he af terwards turned up In an outhouse, waiting for clothes. Nearly all the baggage and effect or the majority of the traveling men was destroyed. The .njured are: J. E. Montagu, proprietor, sprainid wrist and back. Mr. T. H. Bodehelm. New Tork. traveling salesman, broken leg. A. O. Spangler, Bryan, Ohio, bruis ed back. T. A. Stanford, with the Cottrell Saddle Works, Richmond, Va., back wrenched, but not seriously. R. N. Norment, Richmond, broken ankle. W. A. Stanford, Rochester, slightly bruised. CHARLOTTE QUESTS UNHURT. Those among the guests uninjured are: N. W. Pyle, Charlotte, traveling out of Philadelphia. Mr. Flnlcy, engineer of the C. A N. W. Railroad, and wife. Mr. W. H. McCaw, of Columbia, 8. C Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Cllnard who roomed on the first floor of the ex tension saved all their furnishing, trunka and effects. Other than this, the furnishings throughout the hotel were burned. The injured guests are nit being car ed for at the Marshall Hotel. Frank Loughran waa wired thin morning, but too Htte to catch the morning train. He Is expected to arrive on the Hrene this evening.
