After the Impressive ceremony, the betrothed were merged into man and wife, and to the beautiful Mendelshon Wedding March, the bridal party dispersed. The church was loveiy m its decora tlons of white and green quite a pro fusion of potted palms, ferns and trailing cedar being used, together with numerous white candles, whose liarht shed a soft radiance over the pretty scene being enacted. The bride was handsomely attired in a beautifully tailored suit of cham pagne wool taffeta, with hat and gloves to correspond, and carried shower bouquet of lilies of Jhe valley. The bridesmaids were daintily gowned In white batiste and wore large white picture hats; they carried white car nations while the maid of honor car ried a bunch of Easter lilies. ' -,: Miss Brown, the bride, is the ac compiished and attractive, and only daughter, i of Mrs, John A. Brown who became a resident of Lexington about three years ago. She is a native of Winston, where she , has ,: many friends, and is connected with a num toer of prominent families of that place.' During her residence In Lexing ton she has enjoyed a vast degree of popularity and Is beloved by a large coterie of friends. The groom Is the eldest son of Mr, J..N. Mendenhall, is one of Lexing ton's most promising young business men and has many of those qualities or elements which enter Into the suc cessful, well-rounded man of affairs. Mr. Mendenhall has spent all his life in Lexlngtoa and Is deservedly popu lar in business circles as well as social. After graduating from , one of the State's leading Institutions, he took a post-graduate course at Haverford, and In scholarly, attainments he has few equals and no superiors. Recently he has engaged in manufacturing and has demonstrated his ability to handle hoth men and means.
