WRIT OF ERROR IS WTTHD R- WN Georgia Railroads Will Cease War Against Reduced Rates on Stoves New Rates Effective June 20. Atlanta, Ga., June 7. The rail roads in Georgia to-day withdraw their fight against the reduced rates on stoves between 27 competitive points In the State, ordered by the railroad commission In July 1905. The railroads ' secured ' from Judge Newman 'in the Federal Court a tem porary restraining order, but he sus pended hearing In the cases until mandamus cases cbuld be tried In the the State Court, ordered the rail roads to obey the orders of the com mission, the Supreme Court a few days ago affirming this decision. Tffe railroads to-day withdrew their writ of error to - the Supreme Court of the United States and will put the rates into effect about June 20. State Cotton Manufacturers' Associa tion to Meet In Greensboro June tOth. Special to The Observer. . ' Greensboro. June 7. The State Cotton Manufacturers' 'Association will meet In this city June 20th in annual session, and plans are now be ing made for giving the visitors to the city a good time while they are here. The meeting will be held in the as sembly room of the Benbow Hotel and will be called to order by Presi dent W. U Wyrick. Mack Richardson, whose resignation was yesterday accepted by President Roosevelt, was found unconscious in his room to-day at Fort Sam Houston. Examination dracloeed the use of mor phine and pruHsic acid. A note saying the act had been inevitable since last November was found on a nearby table. Lieutenant Richardson died at 11:10 to-night. .
