M!" Powell said that "the tones of ths voice reveal one's character, state of mind and state of body. If a person is fault-finding,, querulous or moody, the tones of the voice will indicate these qualities of the mind Just so surely as the voice will indicate the opposite characteristics. So. too, the voice indicates sorrow or happiness, health or sickness. Ths: force which produces voice must come from the centre of the body. If the body is cramped, then the tones cannot be full, and pure. , A stiff body shows lack of imagination. Selfishness. envy and Jealousy cramp and tighten the mind and soul, and Just as surely they cramp the body, and voice. When the opposite emotions are cultivated the voice and body show the result In the tones and carriage. A low, sweet voles commendable in woman cannot come from without; It must eome from within. The voice Is the reporter of the Individual. To have this low, sweet voice we must hear beautiful music, see beautiful pictures, read beautiful poems. If this Is not possible, we still have the beauties or nature, the songs or birds and brooks, beautiful sunsets. woods and flowers.
