Tha new Flint Hill church was the scene of a pretty marriage yesterday afternoon at 6 o'clock. The contracting parties were Mr. Coker Merrltt and MJas Am my Davis. The ushers for the occa sion were Messrs. R. T. Boyd. C B. ftmlth, W. S. -McClelland and C. B. Boyd. The ushers marched slowly down tho aisles, taking their places at the altar. Then came the groom, accompanied by his best man. Mr. R. M. Pound, of Charlotte, meeting the bride at the altar, who was ac companied by Miss Minnie Garrison, her maid of honor. The contracting parties faced the large audience, while Rev. Edward S. Reaves, the bride's pastor, spoke the beautiful and solemn words which united them !n the bonds qj wedlock. The ring reremony was used. -Mrs. Edward S. Reaves played the wedding march In a very creditable manner. The bridal party retired to the home of Mr Joshua Davis, father of the bride, where an elegant supper was served to a few friends. The bride Is a most amiable young lady and has a host of friends. The groom. Is a sturdy, honorable young man of the Fort Mill community. They will make their home near Fort Mill. THE WEATHER. Washington.
