Her husband, who had bad her good-bye after a series of altercations and started , from the Hague court apartment- house. where they lived, heard the shot and ran back to their flat. Upon beholding he lifeless body of his wife he was oyercome with grief and remorse and, locking the door of the apartment, he picked up the re volver with which sh had killed herself and ended his own life by shooting himself three times).
