Mr. Hugh Alfonso Nelll, a well-to-do farmer pf Iredell, living In -Davidson township about six miles from Mooresville, died suddenly at his home Tuesday morn ing at 10 o'clock. After breakfast he complained of his shoulder and breast hnrtlng him nd about 10 o'clock, while Mrs. Nelll was rubbing bis shoulder with some liniment he suddenly turned over on the bed and expired without any exhibition of pain. He had been In failing health for the past year and waa beginning to get feeble under the weight of years but had not been confined to his bed. Death was due directly to heart disease superinduced by the In firmities incident to old age. The deceased was) a native ot this county and was born and reared with in one-eighth of a mile of where he died. lie waa In his 71th year. He waa a good farmer and had accumu lated considerable property and was considered as well-fixed as any man In Davidson, township.- -. Mr. Nelll took considerable Inter est in politics and for a number of years was county commissioner. In J lilt he was a candidate for the Leg. His daughters are: Mrs. J. R. Wallace, of Eastneld. Cabarrus county; Mrs. Jim King, of Statesvllle; Mrs. O. G. Freeie and Mrs. C. C. Miller, of Mooresvllle; Mrs. Laura White, of Iredell, and Miss Fannie Nelll. who lived at homo. He sons are: Mr. R. B. Nelll, of Moores vllle. and Mr. J. T. Nelll. who lives near the home place. His brother i Mr. T. B. Nelll, who Is older than the deceased and lives near the homo place. Utie funeral services were held yes terday morning from the late home at 11 o'clock by Rev. R. C.
