The Re publicans fired first shot this year and they ar pleased with the effects! ' The big meeting last night has encouraged them In their biennial bombast and they are counting upon carrying all of the county and contiguous territory. It was not until late this afternoon that Chairman Bra wley received a message telling him that Congressman Kitchln would be her Monday night. He was extremely happy over it and the Democrat will have a grsat rally, though they have but one Sunday in which to drum It ' up. Ths attendant was very small as compared with the Demo cratic county convention held here a few weeks sgo. The ticket nominated Is as follows: For the Legislature, William P. Hallyburton; ahsriff, J. D. Pitts, of Olen Alpine; register of, deeds. Pink Cook; treasurer, Frazlcr Brlttsln; county commissioners, P. W. Patton, Davs Garrison and Will Jones.
