The popular idea of the effect of deadly poisons la that a person who takes poiaon Into the system will be a corpse within a few momenta, un less Immediate relief Is at htuid. This la true of the death-dealing drugs and violent poiaona taken through error or suicidal Intent; but there are othf.. ine the less fatal, and far more certain of accomplishing their deadly mission, for the reason that stomach pumps and antidotes are ineffectual, and even a remedy Is almost Impossible to obtain. A case of this nature was recently reported by Mr. C. C. Borgres, who makes his home In Birmingham, Ala , and who tells an Interesting storv of hia unfortunate condition, and of the manner In which he wus saved, In the following words: "As long as I live, I believe that I can thank Col. F. A. Dillingham for my being alive to-day. Only a short time ago. I resigned myself to the fate which appeared to be In store for me. as 1 had been told by specialists that there was little. If any, hope for me. While visiting another city recently, I heard Colonel Dillingham lecture, and became con vinced that I was poisoned, was being poisoned e-ery elny of my life, and would continue to be a victim of poison until death relieved me of one Of the worst cases of kidney trouble from which a man ever suffered, un less prompt and effective measures were taken to cure me of the disease. I learned of a large number of similar cases which had been cured by the use of Dillingham's Plant Juice, and dec kled to se e If this medicine would restore the functions of my kidneys, and eliminate the poison from my system whleh their derangement 1a11s.1l. 1 bought a bottle of Plant Juice, and began taking It, and after 1 a few doses saw that I had made no 1 mistake n giving It a trial. The first indication of Improvement was the disappearance of the frequent desire to pass urine: I suffer no more pains in my hack: my appetite and general health la now good ; and I am almost as well as I ever was.' To have permitted this disease to have gone on unchecked would have 1 ertnlnly resulted In the death of Mr. Horgres. and his relief from a dlsense so serious furnishes a striking ex ample of the effectiveness of Plant Jtih-e In the treatment of chfiaBeB evf the kidneys.
