The funeral will be held at Landrum to-morrow afternoon. Dr. Ervin went to Phila delphia to underjro a serious opera tion and he never rallied from the fhock. Mr. James Heffiicr, of Flint H1H. Feb. 22- -Mr. James lleffner. a farmer, who lived near the State line in Steel Creek township .ind near to Flint Kill church, passed away about noon on Saturday last. He had been III for only a few days and his death oarne as a surprise to many who bad not bo much as heard of his Illness. It teems that he and his brother were In Charlotte about a week ago and ate eome canned goods which made both of them sick.
