' ' xpi- v ,1! Death of Mrs. Amanda Peoples. Mrs. Amanda Peoples, widow of the late Hugh M. Peoples, died at tho home of her daughter. Mrs. H. G. U Rea, In Providence township, yester day sfternoon at S o'clock. Mrs. Peoples was 77 years of age and had been an Invalid for a year or more. She had but one living child, Mrs. Rea. The funeral service will be con ducted at the home and the Interment will be at Sardis A. R. P. church to day at noon. Mrs. Peoples was for many years a' devout and faithful member of the Sardis church, and w-as esteemed one of the most lovable characters In the county. Medlrar College closes To-Nlght. The commencement exercises prop er of the Nosth Carolina Medical College, will occur to-night at 8:30 o'clock at the Academy of Music. Dr. J. P. Monroe, president of the Institu tion, will be In charge of the even ing exercises. The address of the oc casion will be delivered by Dr. I B.
