Snowy dogwood blossom decorated the rooms, bring ing with them from the woods the very breath of spring. After a short time spent in social chat. Miss Leet announced that th diversion for the afternoon would b a trip around the world. She then gave each guest a neatly arranged time-table 'Showing date and figures to be observed as the Journey progressed. "You will find," she said, "placed about the rooms ob jects and devicea that when correctly guessed will represent some foreign or American city or country, each mark ed by a corresponding number on your card." On a table near her was a small trunk which she said contained many ' little accessories necessary for a long Journey, and could je haj by pulling a ribbon attached. In turn each guest drew an appropriate ar ticle for a trip or to be kept a a souvenir. The time had arrived for starting on our Journey and the fun began In earnest, as we Inspected the many 3e vlces and objects showing o much cleverness on the part of the hostess that the guests had to be bright and quick In unraveling their meaning. We were reminded that on our arrival In China there would be given fifteen minutes for refreshments, so time was callej and we were taken Into the dining room where we realized at once that we were in China, for rice was served in cups to b eaten with chop sticks! The many unsuccessful at tempts to use the chop-sticks caused much merriment. We were then taken Into another room to continue our Journey. Most of the objects to be guessed here were foreign cities. Soos, however, wo found ourselves on the return trip to our own beloved country, where we visited many cities of Interest. "The last place we sighted was dear old Stutesvllle, and we gave three cheers for 'Home, Sweet Home,' the words and notes of which we founl on the last page of our timetable, drawn by the deft Angers of our host ess. "We were again invited Into the dining room to enjoy American delica cies which were very delicious ahd re freshing. Miss Leet had been notified of a wreck on the Southern, but for tunately our baggage had encaped In Jury and would arrive in a short time. "After an hour spent pleasantly here, and our baggage having come, we were asked to identify it. We found miniature trunks, suit cases and hand bags filled with bonbons. , "Thus ended our trip around the world.
