Branch, of Bridgewater, was a Morganton visitor yesterday. Mr. John Sparks and Miss Mary Sparks spent Sunday at Ridgecrest. Mr. Glenn Yoder returned Monday from a visit to his home in Newton. Mrs. E. M. Gayle, of Richmond, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. John McDow ell. Miss Gladys Chambers, of Char lotte, spent last week with Miss Hope Bell. Mrs. W. Lucas, of Wilson, is spend in? some time at Mrs. T. Miss Tessie Wagoner has returned from a visit to relatives in Danville, Va., She was accompanied home by her cousin, Mrs Wm. Fawlkes who will make her a visit. Mrs. J. B. Riddle and daughter, Miss Georgie Riddle, left Tuesday af ternoon for Washington, where they will visit Misses Eliza and Cameron Pearson, and from there they will go to Niagara Falls. Misses Mamie Moore and Era Rhyne and Ned Sparks and Robert Rhyne went to Mars Hill Sunday to enter Mars Hill College. They were accompanied by Mrs. Brent Rhyne, Mr. R. B. Moore and Willard Moore.
