They were visitors at the patients' dance on Saturday night, which was well attended and enjoyed. Mr. Henry Hennessee is all smiles. It's another boy Walter Thomas. Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Hennessee spent Thanksgiving with her father, Mr. T. S. Kincaid, near Table Rock. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Puett were called to her home, in Rutherford county, last week owing to the death of her little nephews Miss Mary Lee Shinn of Hickory, visited Miss Nellie Wcaster, who has been very sick with pneumonia, but is now better. .Mr. J. H. Mauney of Spencer, spent the week-end with his fatlfer, Mr. W. A. Mauney. Miss Emma Kincaid, of Table Rock, is spending the week with Miss Minnie Boone and Mr. and Mrs. M. T. We wish the young couple a long and happy life. VALDESE The school has had another splen did week. The attendance has been very regular and reached the two hundred mark. On Friday the 19th the school will give an entertainment to which the public is invited. The teachers wish to make this a get-together meeting for parents, students and teachers. Come. Keep posted on the development of the highway and motor toward Val dese at your leisure time, lhe town is on a boom. The Banner machinery exhibit, is nlanniner developments for their plant. The business is to be enlarg ed soon. Mr. Henry Martinet is building a home on the highway near the Ban ner mills. The Waldensian hosiery mills have erected in sight of the highway a new three-room house. This is to be oc cupied soon by a family from Europe. Cloer made a business trip to Lenoir the first of last week. Mrs. Fred Anms, of Canton, who is spending some time with her parents here, visited her sister, Mrs. Larry A. Kincaid, at Table Rock, Sunday. Had it been more generally known that Mr. J. F. Spainhour was going to address the congregation at Smyr na Sunday, a much larger crowd would have been in attendance. Mr. Spainhour spoke in the interest of the Baptist 75 Million Campaign. Mr. Pink Beck and Miss Ota Beck, of State Hospital, spent the week-end at their home here. Mr. Ferdinand Perry, of Adako, was a visitor in this section Sunday. Mr. John Teems, and not Mr. John Bean, as the Hospital notes had it last week, has moved his family to Mr. Berry's house near the Hospital. There will be a meeting held at Joy schoolhouse Saturday, December 13, at 3 p. m. The purpose of this meeting is to lay plans for the erec tion of a telephone line in this sec tion.
