Little Miss Jewel Baird. who had bean spending a few days with Mrs. Lowdermilk, returned home with him. Mr. and Mrs. E. L. Thornburg and baby, Troy, spent the week-end in Caldwell visiting Mrs. Thornburg's father, Mr. Pink Herman and family. The family of Mr. Lum Beach have influenza. Mr. Aquilla Rhodes was visiting friends here Sunday. Miss Grace Hood, of Joy, spent Sat urday and Sunday at home. Miss Essie Conlej, of Hildebran, has been called home by the illness of her mother, Mrs. Horace Conley. Miss Louise Hood, who teaches at Enola, is, visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Hood. Miss Gussie Morrow, of Abee's chapel, closed her school Friday and is at the home of her brother, Mr. n. u i'.iorrow, very sick with influ enza. Miss Ruby Baird opened the Hart ley school Monday after its being cloed for a vcek. Mrs. J. J j. Morrow spent several days last week with Mrs. J. K. Ra der, whose baby has been sick but i-- Wtcr.
