With the larg est registration in the history of the institution, with nearly 350 more en rolled this year than in last year's summer school, the summer session of State College opened for class work last Wednesday morning. Dr. W. A. Withers, director, announced today that the attendance is approxi mately 850. The summer school begins Its work with a strong faculty which numbers 55. the teaching staff being drawn from the college faculty and the leaders in education in this sec tion of the country. There are also a number of valuable additions. In cluding Prof. G. M. HIghsmith of Meredith College, who will teach ed ucation; Dr. Fraser Hood of David sou, psychology; Supt. B. C.
