N. C Attorney C. L. Williams of Sanford was here Monday. Mr. Williams' name has been prominently mention ed as a likely candidate to succeed Hon. Walter D. Siler as solicitor of the Fourth judicial district composed of Chatham, Lee, Harnett. Johnston and Wayne counties. Mr. Williams has not yet decided upon his course in this matter. Judge L. L. Levlnson of Coats was here Tuesday on legal business at the courthouse. Judge Levlnson says he has definitely decided not to enter the race for Representatlre of Har nett in the next General Assembly. He expressed thanks for the compli mentary Interest shown by his many friends. Hon. N. A. Townsend of Dunn, present Representative, holds the field so far, no other name being mentioned against him. Attorney Marshall Spears went to Durham Tuesday. He is counsel In the Barfield-Parker case and will move the court for a change of venue on account of the rabid nature of prejudice against his client In Dur ham county. Mr. Hockaday Is be ing urged by his many friends to make the race for Register of Deeds. It is said he has about decided to enter. Withers of Leaflet was here Tuesday. Miss Delia Wheelers, who has been trained nurse in charge of Central Harnett Hospital for the past year or more, left Tuesday for her home In Raleigh. Miss Wheelers has made a host of friends here and throughout the county who will sincerely regret to lose her. She will be remembered most kindly by those to whom she has rendered merciful care during illness at the Central. Rev. J. F. Menius of Bulea Creek Presbyterian church was here Tues day.
