The program will include selections from the rhythm band from the younger group and folk dances by the toon- ages. They will also present songs and singing games and other acttvi- ties from their recreation program. This will he the,July meeting of the Woman's Club: Each member is urged to be present and bring visi tors and new members. The climax of the evening proved to bo a surprise shower of many useful kitchen utensils. Morgan of Angler in a ceremony on Saturday afternoon at 5:00 o’clock in the McPherson Pres byterian Church in Fayetteville, Rev. J. P, Menlus, former pastor of the bride, officiated. Floral baskets of white gladioli against a background of smllax, fern and ivy interspersed by candllabra holding tall white tapers formed a beautiful setting for the speaking of the vows. Prior to the ceremony Mrs. Cftvl- noss Brown, organist, played “Calm As The Night’’ (Bohm), Miss Doris Sutton, sister of the bride, sang "I Love Thoo’’ (Grolg), "To A Wild Rose’’ (MacDowell) was played soft ly during the ceremony. Traditional wedding marches completed the mu sical program. Miss Doris Sutton, soloist, wore a white gabardine suit with green hat and accessories. Her corsage’ was of •peach gladioli. The bride, who was given in mar riage by her father, wore u grey wool crepe suit with black and white accessories., She wore a corsage of orchids. Her hat was an off-the-fqce model featuring a.bow at the back. Miss Dorothy Sutton as maid of honor wore a white gabardine suit with black accessories. Her corsage was of white orchid gladioli. Mr. Morgan had as his best man his brother, Sam .Morgan of Angler. Pat Sutton, brother of the bride was usher. Mrs. Sutton, mother of the bride, was attired in black and wore a corsage of orchid asters. The mother of the groom wore black with a corsage of blue asters. Mrs, Morgan, one of LilUngton’s most popular younger women, is well-known throughout this section, and has been extended numerous so cial courtesies since the announce ment of her engagement. She was graduated from Lillington High School. She also attended East Caro lina Teachers College, Greenville and Peace College, Raleigh. She rocontly attended Central Airline and Tele vision School In Kansas City, Mls- .Hourl, where she received a degree in teletype. Mr. Morgan is a graduate of An gler High School. He served in the Navy of the United States. He at tended a Naval Academy In Wilming ton for three years. Since his dls-! charge ho has been manager of the j Lyric Theatre in Lillington, where he has made a host of friends. Following the ceremony tne couple left for a wedding trip to un announced points. Upon their return they will occupy an apartment in the home of Mrs. B, Currin. Guests at the wedding included the Immediate families and rela tives. Miss Mabel Alston, county health nurse, left Saturday for her home In Weldon, From there she will go to Jefferson City, Missouri where she will spend her vacaliou visiting re latives. Mr. E. J. Byrum, father of Mrs. J. H. Blackmon, is at the home of Mr, and Mrs. Blackmon recuperating.' Mr. Byrum has been a patient in a Fort Bragg hospital where he has been receiving treatment for an In jured hand. Patrolman and Mrs. H. J. Hunt and children, Bobby and Patricia and Mr. and Mrs, Norman Gossett spent last Wednesday and Thursday at Manteo. They attended the pa geant "The Lost Colony” on Wed nesday night. Mr.H. C. E. Dolan of Baltimore and Mrs. John Rigsbee and daughter of .Yboskie are visitors this week at the home of their mother, Mrs. J. R. Baggett. .Mrs. Robert McKenzie and child ren of Augusta Ga., are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Maylon Wilder. Mrs. M. D. Lanier and Mrs. Kyle Matthews left Saturday for Holden's Beach. They were accompanied by the following young girls; Misses Margaret Matthews, Sue Lanier, Doris Baggett,' Mary Bethea, Ada Pearl Wood, Faye Matthews and Mildred Bradshaw. Mr,s.
