C. 1939 rtlSTOMGAt fepAlO^^ 4 \ ; Greetings To Our Customers Throoglioiit The Roanoke - Chowan Section We Believe In The Future Of The Section We Serve • Of course it is proper for the citizens of Ahoskie to fittingly observe the Fiftieth Anniversary of the birth of the town and they have reason to be proud of the achievements of these fifty years of progress since the town emerged from the wilderness into a thriving business center. We join in observing this anniversary and share the feeling of pride in accomplishment. • But ours is a wider and broader source of satisfaction and pride. Ours is a salute that reaches beyond the confines of Ahoskie to greet all of the hundreds of retail merchants throughout North eastern North Carolina whom we have the privilege of serving, and it is to the future and its broad horizons that we look with an ticipation of even greater progress for this entire region rich in resources. The progress that Ahoskie celebrates this year on its Fiftieth Anniversary is but one indication of what the future holds for this community and all of the great territory w^e serve. As this business has grown through service, we promise to keep step with this vision of progress and ever have onr service attuned to the needs of expansion and development. ® There have been mafiy changes in fifty years. This business, the scope and extent of its service, is an example. Established only twelve years ago, it anticipated these changes and met the needs of the changing conditions. Its growth to an outstanding position in the w holesale distribution field in North Carolina, in a town which fifty years ago was only a cross-roads in the backwoods country, is the result of this responsiveness of its service to the changing times and the needs of the public. We promise a continuation of this type of service and look forward confidently to continued growth through enlarged opportunity for service.
