ft Perfect Hair Indicates a natural and healthy condi tion of the scalp, and of the glandi through which nourishment is obtained. When, in consequence of age and dis ease, the hair becomes weak, thin, and gray, Ayer's Hair Vigor will strengthen it, restore its original color, promote its rapid and vigorous growth, and Impart to it the lustre and freshness of youth. I have used Ayer's Hair Vigor for a long time, and am convinced of its value. When I was 17 years of age my hair began to turn gray. I commenced using the Vigor, and was surprised at the good effects it produced. It not only restored the color to my hair, but so stimulated its growth, that I have now more hair than ever before. J . W. Edwards, Coldwater, Miss. Ayer's Hair Vigor, Sold by all Druggist and Perfumer. Is you abbs suite eino from debility and loss of appetite; if your stomach is out of order, or your mind confused; take Ayer's Sarsaparilla. This medicine will restore physical force and elasticity to the system, more surely and speedily than any tonic yet discovered. For six months I suffered from liver and stomach troubles. My food did not nourish me, and I became weak and very rc 'ich emaciated. I took six bottles of Ayer's Sarsaparilla, and was cured. J. M. Copper, nickel and other ; metals ere found less abundantly; but such min erals as corundum, mica, asbestos, talc, etc., are diffused more largely and of better quality than found elsewhere in the United States. The search for the precious metals has been general, as was natural from the splendor of the reward when search was successful. In every county there has been more or less encouragement ; but the work of mining has been prosecuted on the most primitive plans ; and science has had little to do with draw ing just deductions from superficial in dications or in following out work to profitable conclusion. The successful application of more recondite processes to the BoilstOll mines has given a great O Stimulus tfi TrCParrriM PlcawlrA ThA , . . But while there can be no mistake in the nature of some formations, and while gold exhibits itself in palpable form and color, there are other ores that either mislead by an as- sumed simularity to those that have proved value, or they discourage be - cause external appearances are so in definite as to lead to false conclusions. The most sensible want has been that of some scientific standard of test. With such, false hopes would at once be dissipated, and with such, faint hopes might be encouraged. Gold would not be found where it does not eNist : and prold might be found where il is not believed to exist. What is WHiiied in Western North Carolina is an assay or reduction uf- !h:c, placed in charge oi'a veritable scientific man, at a central accessible point, where ores can be examined T..l. 11 ana tested at small cost, ana in rea sonable time; and by which the peo ple of the country may learn definite ly whether or not the ores they find have value or otherwise.
