Small accident ally killed his sweetheart. She was about seventeen years of alge. Real izing what he had done and frenzied with grief and excitement, Smrll at tempted to take his own life. The state agricultural department is noW making up from its museum.' a special collection from exhibits to be sent to Paris for the great exposition! . Not jnly is it availing itself of the museum collection, "but it is gathering fresh specimens. The line of exhibits will be a wide one. It will embrace forestry products, including native tim bers 'and plants. There will-be econom ic fishery products, minerals, Including gold, silver, copper 'and iron ores with some fine specimens of native silver secured within the past few days; gems to the number of several hundred, cut and uncut; agri cultural products, es pecially cotton and tobacco; horticul tural products, such as fruits and rii tive ornamental shrubs. News reaches here of a very singular and romantic rmarriage' which took place in Baldwin township, in this county, on last Sunday, in which Mr. Elias Harris, a very respectable and well to do farmer, 73 years of age, and a Miss Hickman, a maiden atfdy o some 35 or 40 summers, were the con tracting, parties. It seems that Air Harris, who, until Sunday, was wid ower of some six weeks duration, claims to baive been visited by the Lord in a trance on last Friday nighlfc in whi it was commanded of himi to take kimself on the following morn to 'the house of a neighboring lady, a Miss Hickman, anidi state that in ac cordance with a special ctimmand1 from on high it was the solemn duty for tho twain to become 'united in the bonds of matrimony. The supposed vision re sulted in Mr. Harris calling on the lady, proposing marriage, being accept ed, procuring a marriage license here Saturday and being married on Sun day. Pi'ttsboro Despatch. It is an utter impossibility to catch cold if the surfaces o'i the body are kept alt an even temiperatu're. r The trouble mlay be from without or it may be from within thalt is, by riot being either prop- erlv or sufficiently clad; by not having perfect circulation, or by not eating such food as is needed to furnish the re quired heat of the body. The chilliness you experience in the winter arises irom one of two causes: first, 'lack of sufh- ripnt na.Th'nnaoetous food: second, poor circulation, possibly due to lack otf ex ercise.
