The holiday rush at the Asheville post office this season Is unprecedented.. The volume of business thus far bundled ha* *nuwh«il att previous r^. cords. A < »axette-News representative wandered through the "ftiee this morning about 10 o'clock and the sight that greeted him was an eye-opener. It looked as though there were myriads of packages and bun dles and letters stacked and packed about the place. The 12 regular car riers and the three assistant carriers w« re working at their cases deftly and swiftly. In .front of them were piled In huge hyaps the packages for dis tribution. one carrier was starling on his round.
