The Mountaineers played Cleveland rather they walked all around the visitors. The pram was a farce, pure and simple. Cleve. land didn't even have a look-in.' It was Ashevllle's game from the first inning and the crowd that witnessed the close of the season-here while rejoicing that Ashevllle won was dis appointed over the showing that the visitors made. The final score was 1$ to 4 for Ashevllle. Norman pitched for Cleveland and was touched for a total of 14 hits. McQeary, the "big fellow," who worked for Ashevllle fared little better, surrendering dur ing the game 12 hits. Ashevllle play ed an errorless game while the visi tors made a ocuple that were costly. The locals practically sewed the game up in the first two Innings which net ted eight'runs. Two more runs were mado in the sixth and two in the seventh with one in the eighth. The Mountaineers left this morning for Knoxvllle where they play three games this week, ending the season In the Appalachian league. Ashevllle has no show for either first or second place.
