"The boxing contest between Lightweight Champion Ad Wolgast and Packey McFarland September 15 will be given as scheduled," said Matchmaker Frank Mulkern after a conference with the promoters of the affair. Sheriff Arnold Is just as confident that the contest will not be staged. "This does not mean," said the sheriff, "that the men will be permitted to fight and then be arrested. C A., have spar ed no effort to make the gymnasium attractive in appearance. The walls have been repaired and the overhead has been celled and painted.
