PLANS ARE DISCUSSED BY SUB-COMMITTEE Its Report Will Facilitate Work at . 11 A. M. Gathering To morrow. From present prospects It seems evident that the people all over west ern North Carolina are going to co operate heartily in the movement started some time ago to advertise the resources of the section. The board of trade Is receiving numbers of let ters from persons from nil over this part of the state commending the movement and assuring the board of their help and of the help (if their towns. And there is little doubt but that the meeting which is to be held at the court house tomorrow at 11 o'clock for the purpose of organiza tion, so that all towns can work to gether in concerted action, will be well attended. In fact, the letter? al ready received give assurance of this. This afternoon the sub-committee, appointed at the boosters' banquet held ini furtherance of the movement some weeks ago, meets in the board of trade rooms to discuss plans for publicity and organization which will be submitted to the meeting tomor row. Most of the sub-committee ar rived yesterday and this morning, and the conference this afternoon will prove of much Importance as their discussions will greatly'- facilitate the work of the meeting tomorrow. Many Towns to lie Representee!. Letters have been received from Murphy, Waynesville, Hryson City, Sa luda, Tryon, Brevard, Montreat and isluck Mountain and each of these states that these towns will be repre sented. A man from one of these towns in the city today stated that this move ment Is by far the biggest thing that has been undertaken for the western part of the state and one that will re sult in more good than any other. C. & O., will be present ut the meeting, also W. C. Olds, traveling Industrial agent of the Southern. Mr. Hardwick is now at the Battery Park hotel. The South ern railway has already expressed the intention of doing all possible for the movement and the other railroads in terested In the section are expected to do the same. On account of the Buncombe Coun ty Sunday School convention, which meets at Weavervllle tomorrow and Wednesday, the Asheville . & East Tennessee railroad will run special cars from Weavervllle to Asheville after the night session, which will reach the square at 11 o'clock. It is expected that many Asheville people will attend. An Interesting program has been prepared. Rev. Robert I. Gammon, pastor of the leading Presbyterian church In Knoxville, and formerly connected with the Normal and industrial insti tute of this city, will be the next speaker a hte Y. M. C. A. men's meeting. His subject will be "W In ning at the Start." He has many friends here who will be Interested to know of his coming. The annual handicap bowling tour nament of the Y. M. C. A. will begin the latter part of the week and those who wish to enroll are asked to leave their names at the secretary's desk to day or tomorrow. It Is thought this tournament will prove most popular with the bowlers, considering the In terest that is being taken in the duck pin tournament. The next round of the duckpin tournnment starts today. Rev.
