FUNNY, ALL RIGHT Tho filrl In the Taxi" Amuses Two Audiences of Rather Indifferent Size at Auditorium. The laughing comedy sketch, "The Girl In t:ie Taxi," was presented at the Auditorium yesterday at matinee and night performances but succeeded in drawing only fair sized crowds. It was advertised as a comic perform ance with the prime object of provok ing mirth and as Bich was a decided success. The spirit of it might not be applauded by a great many people but it portrays conditions as they most certainly exist to a large extent Its success, however, is not intended tc come from the material of the plot but from the manner of presentation The situations are ludicrous in the extreme and in working these out the show is made one of the most enter taining witnessed here this season. was certainly enjoyed by a majority of those who attended the perform ances here. The parts are well taken and those who carry the leading roles have been exceedingly drilled. Be sides they have a natural aptitude for the parts they carry and the show suggests a chapter out of real life in stead of a mimic presentation.
