Tomorrow night the executive com mittee of the Greater, Western North Carolina association holds a meeting In Ashevllle for the purpose of pre paring a report which win be made to a meeting of the directors of the or ganization, to be held In Henderson ville the next day at 11 o'clock. The officers of the . organization will also meet with the directors. At Hender sonville and this meeting will probably result- in perfecting the organization, which has been partially organized here at two or three meetings. The last meeting was held here on Novem ber 6 and at that time it was Supposed that the by-laws and constitution: would be adopted, but this was not done. It Is probable that they will be presented to the directors at Hender sonville. ' There are three directors from every county in the organization and these will consider the reports that the ex ecutive commltte has already prepar ed. - Several of the counties in the western part of the state have entered the association and provision has been made so that others can enter. In a way, the meeting of the direc tors at Hendersonville will be .of greater importance than any yet held, in, that many of. the questions which have heretofore been only discussed, will . be finally decided on, one of which Will likely be the method of financing the project, and the general purposes for which the money will be expended. It will doubtless prove of Interest to the lovers of basketball In Agheville to learn that a movement is on foot to form a league composed of teams frqm the local Y. M. C. A., the Ashe vltle school, Ashevllle Farm school and Bingham. The prime mover In ths proposed organization Is Secretary e..'. rt. crown or me i. ai. a, tana u Is his opinion that such a league would be: highly appreciated by the lovers of the game and of sport in general In the city. Bingham has not yet made known Its stand on the matter but it s practically certain that the other or ganizations will be only too glad to come into the league. The plan, as outlined by Mr. Brown is to have a double header game each week at the association court and charge a small admission for the games. The T. M. C. A. team alone will generally draw a crowd when they have a gahie with an. outsider, and with the teams mentioned In the league, the interest In the . contest would be greatly Increased. It Is cer tain that the "rooters" for the various school teams would come In for the games and this number would b. greatly Increased by their friend the city. That would Insure the flnan clal success of the undertaking for th expenses would be made, it nothln else. The association building Is sug (rested a the best place for the games because it Is centrally located and It Is auite probable that bigger crowds could be had there than elsewhere. the other team should object to the arrangement, however, It would be an easy matter to arrange games for At her rilaces.
