Greater Western North Carolina association this morning, the organisa tion was made permanent a etiarter was adopted and the officers and per manent directors were elected. There was a good attendance; seven counties being represented, and there was evi dence of a determination to pull to gether for the best Interests of the section to be served by the organisa tion, especially that portion of western North Carolina known as the "Land of the Sky." The charter is considered very broad and contemplates the de velopment, and advertisement of this part of the state. The association is 6 non-stock organisation but is to; be In corporated, and the money to carry out the work Is io be raised by. sub scription, donation or otherwise." The directors hold another meeting this afternoon to adopt by-laws and to discuss the details ot the organization, especially the financial end of It W. E. Breese, Jr., of Brevard was elected president and the other officers are W. A. Smith of Hendersonvllle, vice president; F. W. Miller of Way nesville, secretary; George S. Powell, of Ashevllle, treasurer. Each county Is to be allowed three votes; but any county may have as many directors as It chooses. The directors are to be subject to confirmation by the several counties. , , ' Three directors were chosen for Buncombe, but these can he changed or confirmed or added to at the dis cretion of the civic organization!
