Mr. and Mra John Dixon wre murdered near Bethel church between Fallston and Lawn- dale some time Tuesday night by two unidentified men whose faces ' were covered with white caps. - Several posses are In search and bloodhounds are trying to flnd a trail. A negro, John Ross, went by the house vesterday when he found Mrs. Dixon lying on the floor In a pool of blood. Her husband lay dead at the barn and she was dying, but had enouah breath to mutter a short story that two men had called during ine night and asked that Mr. Dixon go with them and help get a horse out of a ditch. e lighted a lantern and went out He went and later she was attacked by two men and beaten. She died before the neighbors responded to the message delivered by the negro. Dixon was one of the most promi nent farmers In the county, about 30 vrs old.
