GAMES TODAY.

Winston-Salem at Charlotte.
Special to The Gazette-News.
Raleigh, June 24. The first of the
series here yesterday afternoon went
to the Tourists, and as a result of the
4 to 1 score Raleigh and Asheville ex
changed places in the percentage Col
umn, the latter aggregation going to
third place. It took two of the visl
- tors' pitchers, however, to stem the
tide; Waymaek worked for the lir.t
three Innings in fine shape, and then
in the middle of the fourth went wild
and passed two batsmen. Watson re
placed him when he had thrown two
balls to the third and succeeded in
pulling out of the hole with only one
hit and one run scored against him.
Kor the remainder of the game he had
the situation always in hand.
The feature of the game was the
batting of Xoojin and Corbett for the
visitors. Both batted .750 in four
times up, and both were credited with
two-sackers. The home team seemed
to be in fairly good form but had
failed to put on their batting clothes.
