Peel sweet potatoes and cut in tbick slices; boll them about ten minutes, then put potatoes in with possum and brown. When possum and potatoes are nice ly browned put possum on a large platter and arrange the potatoes around It, garnished with sprigs of parsley and serve. ' Quail on Toast. Dress and cut quails In halves. Bait, roll in flour and fry in hot lard till golden brown. Pour a little hot water Over tbem, cover closely, draw to back of range and cook till quite tender.
