An affecting incident occurred during the closing hours of the late venerable Bishop of the Episcopal Church in Virginia. A distinguished leader of the Confederate 'army, whom the good Bishop had known from his boyhood, was present, and, with his dying accents, he thus addressed him : "I have known you, General, from a boy, .arul have always loved you. All the Companies of the old Regiment about to re-organize for the war, are requested to report to this Office without delay, with the view bt going into this Regiment, which will receive the "Bethel Flag." Additional Volunteer Companies' for tho war will be accepted, to whom a bounty of filteen dollars per man will be paid by the State, and fifty by the Confederate States. When a full Company is tendered four officers will be commissioned ; with a less number, appointments will be given as follows : a Captain for forty men.
