the Mormons keep up a perpetual emigration fund,
amounting last year to $34,000, to pay the outfit

reach 60.000 inhabitants, the number required to

Worms ! Worms ! Various theories have been
started relative to the origin ol intestinal worms,
and yet the question is siill a vexed one among
medic-d authorities. Of tine fact, however, all are
informed, and in which all agree the latal nature
of the influence they exert on children. At this
season of the yeiyr, the attacks of worms are most
frequent as well as most dargerous. We lake
great pleasure in directing thd attention of parents
to i he Vermifuge ol Dr. M'Lane. It is one ol the
moat extraordinary medicines ever introduced to
the public, and has never failed ol success when
tried.
(Cl7 Purchasers will be careful to ask for Dr.
W Lane's Celebrated Vermifuge, and take none
else. All other Vermifuges, in comparison, are
worthii s. Dr. M'L'me's genuine Vermifuge, also
his Cel brated Liver Pills, can now he had at all
respectable Drug Stores in the United States and
Canada. lw

DIED,
On ihfl 7th ultimo, Miss ELIZA KIRK, oldest
daughter of M r. John Kirk, in the 46th year of
her age. By the death of this hdy, the needy
and the afflicted have lost a devoted friend. She
was ever ready to perform acts of kindness to
otlurs. She loved the gates of Zton, and conse
quently she was very seldom absent from the
sanctuary of God. During her last illness, which
was protracted, 6he enjoyed much of the presence
rf Christ, her Saviour, in whom she had long be
lieved. She waited patiently until her change
came, and seemed entirely resigned to the Divine
will. We trust that she sleeps in Jesus.
