A New Map of North Carolina. rJHE undersigned are preparing, and will publish as t ioon as the necessary Surveys, &.c, can be ob- tained, a New, Large and Complete Map of North Carolina, five feet by tl ree, well engraved and finished in the best style. It is admitted on all sides, that such a work is a great desideratum in our State, ard it is in consequence of the frequent enquiries on this subject, that the under signed have embarked in the enterprise. The only attempted work of this kind is that of McRea, published in 1833; and since then the Counties. Towns, Koads and Post-offices have increased in num ber, and all our works of Internal Improvements, with small exceptions, been set on foot. It is intended that the New iMap, now proposed to be published, shall contain, accurately laid down, all the Natural Features of the Stat the Inlets, Harbors, Sounds, Lakes, Uivers, t reeks and Mountains, &c. Also, the public improvements aad i.rtificial divisions. The Railroads, Plan kroads, Counties. County towns, t-osi omces, cities Villages, I'ost-roatts and Canals, Colleges, Academies, &c. &c.
