The only attempted work of this kind is that of McRea, published in 1833 ; and since then the Counties. Towns, Roads and Post-offices have increased in num ber, and all our works of Internal improvements, with small exceptions, been set on foot. It is intended that the New Map, now proposed to be published, shall contain, accurately laid down, all the Natural Features of the State, the Inlets, Harbors, Sounds, Lakes, Rivers, Creeks and Mountains, &c. Also, the public improvements and artificial divistons. The Railroads, Plankroads, Counties County towns, Post offices, Cities Villages, Post-roads and Canals, Colleges, Academies, &c. &c.
