The only attempted work of this kind is that of McRea, published in 1S33; ar:d since then he Counties. Towns, l.'oads and Post-offices have increased in num ber, and all our works of Internal Improvements, with small exceptions, been set on foot. It is intended that the New Map, now proposed to be published, shall contain, accurately laid down, all the Natural Features of the Stat", the Inlets, Harbors, Sounds, Lakes. I.'ivers, Crseks and Mountains, &c. Also, the public improvements ard artificial divisions The Railroads.
