The people of Georgia are becoming aroused by ihe efforts of the North to abolitionise Kansas. Several spirited meet ings in different pontona of the State, have been recently held, to call public attention to the subject, to raise binds, and lo encourage Southern aettleaaeni m Kansas. Thia action ia in j accordance with the suggi siions and warnings ot Senator At ebraon to the people ol the Booth, and is deemed necessary to counteract the efibna ol abolitionism and to aecure justice to the people of the southern States. Kansas is now the main battle ground between the North ai:d the South. The North- j ern " Emigration Aid Societies" have for a long tiwe been i sending their lanatical emissaries to Kanaaa ; and it becomes the Southern Stales to aid their brethren of Kansas in thwart- j ing by all legitimate means, the mischievous designs of these 1 abolitionists.
