DAVIS, Attorney 6c Counsellor at Law, CHARLOTTE, JT. C. Jan. 1, 1856. tf EAR AXD EYE. DUS. LcBRUN AND DITTOS, OCULISTS AND ARTISTS. 1 R. LeBKUN offers to those suffering from 1 ) Deafness bis infalliable Aural Kennedies, which have been successful in nearly three thousand cases of confirmett Deafness. These remedies have been pronounced by Drs Khra mer, of Berlin; Itard and Ueleau, of Paris; and Curtis 1 ilchcr and Yersly, of London, as the msl wonder. ul evei applied for diseases of the internal and middle ear. They comprise dif ferent courses for ti e various diseases that affect. the externa', internal and middle ear. If the disease is confined to the external i ar, their effects are apparent on the fifth or sixth day. Dr. LeBrun warrants a cure in every case, when the ear is eerfectin its formati( n. He has eighteen certificates from those who have been deaf from ii.Jaucy, whose hearing is now completely restored, and they are now enabled to learn the language. Over twenty seven hundred cases of deafness n.ve been successfu.ly healed by him. Certificates to that effect may be seen on applicaiion. In nervous affections, iuil., mutation and mu ous accumulation in the l.u shir hum Tube and Tympanum, thiekening and inflammation of the Membrunu Tywpuni or '-drum," Otorrhoea or discharges of matter from the Auditory Canal; when the deafness has been producer by Scarlet, Typhus, Bilious, or Remittent Fe. ver, Colds, use of Quinine or Murcurial Medi cines, Mumps, gatherings in the Ears, etc., or when it is accompanied with noises like fall ing water, chirp, ng of insects, whizzing of steam, rustling of leaves, ringing of bells, pulsations, etc., etc., the disease can be radi cally and permanently cured. Dr. Dufton is the only practitioner in the United States who practices the new, pain less, and successful method in treating all the diseases to which the Eye is subject. Where eve. y other ma ns nas failed to afford rilief, he asks from such a lair and impartial trial. TESTIMONY. The undersigned practitioners of Medicine in the city of New York, having had occasion to Witness the practice of Drs. LeBrun & Duf ton, in diseases of the Ear and Eye, laying aside a'.l professional j alousy, freely admit that the course pursued by them in treating diseases of these delecate organs, from thj un daralteled success attending it, i well worthy the attention of our prulessional brethren throughout the L'nited States, believing as we ao, tnat Aurat suigery has not met with that attention which its importance demands. Their system ot treating dis. ases of the middle and internal Ear, in chronic or com plicated cases by means of "Medicated Va pors," forms a new era in thepractice of Aural Surgery, and tills up a void which has long been felt by the general practitioner. In dis. eases of the Eye, they seldom require to resort to an operation. As skillful Artists and Oc ulists, enthusiastically devoted to their pro fession, we cordially recommend them to such as require their aid. Signed, WILLIS MORTON, M. D. V. D. MOTT, M. D. C. A.
