The .tock of the road is steadily advancing in value ; it bond, are promptly met a. they fall due, and for th. last fiseal year the profits of tho road were sufficient to enable the directors to pay a divideud of six per cent, to its atockhol ders, to pay the interest due on its bonds, and reserve a fund for future contingencies, equal lo one per cent, of its capital stock, giving in all a profit of nine per cent, on the stock. This is doing a good business and .bow. the affairs of the company are well managed. Through counrctious are now made North and South, and when tbe famous Dauvillc connection is made, as it doubtless soon will be, this road being an important link in the great chain of travel between New Oilcans and New York, its stock will be vastly enhanced in value, and those who are buying it up now will make money by the operation.
