that Gen. Armstrong, commanding tha cav
alry of the army of tha Wast, has taken
Courtland, Ala., on the Memphis and Char
leston Railroad, capturing 159 prisoners
and six cars. Our loss was two killed and

tured twelve wagons with horses and equip
