WE SHOE THE TOWN!
It's true that we Shoe the town, or the greater portion of it.
Most Shoe stores work hard to see ho little tkey can get
ir.t " their Shoes and how IllllCh out of the customer.
We nlake friends hv reversing the process. We try to see
HOW MUCH VALUE
We can give our patrons for theismouey. and after we get all
the goodness into a Shoe we know how. we try to see
How Long We can Sell It.
Match our Women's $2.00 or $3.1)9 Shoes, or our Men's 3.00
or $3.50 Shoes at the price, if you can.
Our patrons know they get the best Shoe values here.
We Shoe the Town.
PBIDGEH & JONES
&e SHOE MEN,
Freeman Jones Will Hang.
The governor has sent his final
report of findings in the case
against Freeman Jones who ac
cording to the decree of the court
muet hang February 8th. He
refuses to interfere with the case
further.
His reasons for refusing a
commutation of sentence is
summed up in the following:
That Jones entered the house in
the dead hours of the night and
made a felonous attack on the
Barker woman, that while he
claimed to be drunk which was
not any excuse for the crime
the evidence showed that he had
sense enough to make his escape
when he heard help coming, and
that he went home, got into bed
with his clothes on, and wasj
'ound there by the officers, that j
he, the Governor, had written!
the solicitor and judge asking ifj
there .were any ground for aj
pardon, and they not only state
that there is no ground for the j
I pardon, but that the law should j
be allowed to take its course.
