HAPPENINGS IV OLD NORTH CAROLINA Salisbury Post: The people of west ern Rowan have beeiv puzzled to know the meaning of a rooming assault Sunday before last when Mr. Sam Miller was callled from his bed about 4 o'clock, and shot at by some un known man. Mr. Miller says he was aroused and went to the. door. The moment he stepped" out some one fired upon him and fled. He has no enemies that he knows anything about and was 'caught napping when the vicious assault was committed.
