He was playing near the fire place when his gown caught on fire and run down stairs in a light blaze, and his horror-stricken mother heard his cries anXmet hira at the foot of the stairs.' She seized the little fellow and in puliinffthe burning clothes from his body had both of her hands burned almost Lto a crisp.
