On Friday morn ing a bundle of paper was found in a tih tran in New Hope creek, near the Chapel Mill road, which was loumi to conia.u nine or ten letters, addressed to various individual?., with the post bills and the en velopes in which they had been enclosed. The letters had been broken open, and lifter having been rilled of all that was val uable, were throw n into the creek. The date of one of the post bills and the find ing of the bundle, rendets it cei tain that the robbery was committed on the trip clown on Thursday, and this circumstance it is hoped, will lead o the detection the robber Ilillsboro1 'Recorder. a very simple affair, consisting of a frame ot foe size ot a common sheet ol letter paper, with brass wires inserted in it to correspond with the number of lines want ed. On one side of this frame is pasted a leaf of thin carbonated paper, such as is used to obtain duplicates. Instead of a pen, the writer makes use of a sty lus, of ivory or gate, the !at better or harder. The great diOiculties in.the way of a blind man's writing in the uual manner arise from his not knowing when the ink is ex hausted in his pen, and when his lines run into tine another. Both difficulties are ob viated by this simple writing case, which enables one to do his work as well in the dark as in the light. Though my trouble is not blindness, but n disorder of the nerve of the eye, the effect, so far as this is concerned, is the same, and 1 am wholly incapacitated lor writing in the ordinary way. in this manner 1 have written every word of my historical. The decease of the famous Julius liarons Von llaynau. which is reported to have occurred at Vienna, on the 14lh ultimo, cannot fail to revive the recollections of his infamy while living. He was born at Casel in 178G, and was a natural son of the Duke of Hesse by a goldsmith's daugh ter. In early life, lie was so notorious lor his eccentricities as to be considered on the verge of insanity. He was educated at Cassel, and entered the Austrian army as Lieutenant in 1801. In the campaign of 1803 he distinguished himself so much as to be promoted to the rank of captain in one ol 1 lie most notable regiments in the service. He died at Vienna, beneath the. shadow of that despotic Court which he serveu so laitinuiiy in so mean a cause. Since his removal from the command in Hungary, he has been a despised and un happy man, and he must have anticipated death as a happy release from the reproach es of his own conscience, and the scorn of the human race.
