Tae-i- chains w tc first introduced in the city of New

applied by Drs. Valentine Mott. Caruochan. Van Buren
and others, it v, a- discovered that tliey possess, strange
aud wonderful power iu the relief and cure of the above
class of diseases, a:nl their sale, aud the success that
has at tended their us:: is unparallcd.
Previous to their introduction into this country, tliey
were used in hospitals in Europe, and are secured by
patents in France, Germany, Austria, Prussia, and En

' THINK CLOSE AND PONDER WELL."
The principles u;o:i which it is claimed that tin
Chains produce their marvelous cures are. first that
ail Nervous Diseases are attended and produced by a
deficient supply of nervous fluid, and an agent that
resembles closely electricity, or electro magnetism:
and second that the electro magnetic chains, by beau-
j worn over and upon the part and organ diseased, fur
nish to the exliaus.ted r.ervous fluid which is required
' to produce a healthy action throtiah the entire system.
No disgusting nostrum is allowed to be taken whilt
usine; the chains, but a rigid observance of the genera'
laws of health are required. Brisk friction upon tin
part diseased adds much to the effects of the chains, by
increasing their magnetic power.
ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS
will be riven to any p; rson who will produce so many
well authenticated certificates of Cure, both from in
telligent patients and scientific physicians, as have
been effected by the use of Pulverr. ichor's Electric
Chains. They uver fail to perform what tliey are ad
vertised to do. and no person has ever been dissatisfied
who has gi ven then: a trial.

The Subscriber, a practical Boot-maker of some ex

desideratum to be j'et supplied to the public in the way
of a suitable burnih for boots aud shoes. Most of the

impart that lustre so necessary to give to mu's " un

the task of preparing an article free from these objec
