IVotbin? is Lost
Nothing is lost; the "drop of dew
Which trembles on the leaf or flower
Is but exhausted to fall anew
In summer's thunder shower,
Perchance to shine within the bow
That fronts the sun at fall of day;
rerehance to sparkle in the flow
Of mountains far away.
Nothing is lost; the tiniest seed
By wild birds born, or breezes blown,
Finds somethiug suited to its need,
Wherein 'tis sown and grown,
The language of some household song,
The perfume of some cherished flower,
Though gone from outward sense, belong
To memory's after hour.
So with onr words; or harsh or kind,
Uttered they are not all forgot;
They leave their influence on the mind,
Tass on, but perish not!
So with our deeds; for good or ill,
They have their power scarce understood ;
Then let us sec our better will
To make them rife with goortl

SI OO Reward.
Rauaway from the Subscriber on the 9th of October
1 S5o. my negro woman Sarah. She is about 17 years old
" feet 2 or 3 inches high, weighs about 1 20 or 1 30 pounds.
She has lost one upper front tooth, it has either decay
ed or been broken oil", she is of a black cokr, holds her
head erect, with a smiling countenance when spoken
to. I understand that she has a child several mouths
old. She is probably lurking about Dr John Richard
son's plantation on the east side of Cape Kear river, in
J'.laden count v. as she has relations on that plantation:
or may be in Robeson county in the neighborhood of
Archibald Malloy. where her hu.-ban 1 is at work: or
more probably in the suburbs of Fayetteville, as she
has been heard of there several times among her
friends.
I will give fifty dollars for her delivery to me or her
confinement in any jail, so that I can "get her; and
lifty dollars for evidence to convict any white person
of harboring said negro.

washing in the world fails to bring it out. Any child
can use it with perfect ease. AVith this Magic paper,

An infalible remedy, and as a medicine which must

This article is now prescribed by some of the most
distinguished Physicians in the country, and has proved
more eflicient in practice than any preparation of
Sarsaparilla yet offered to the public. Several cases
of secondary Syphilis, Mercurial and Scrofulous dis

our Public Institutions which had for many years re
sisted every mode of treatment that could "be devised.
These cases furnish striking examples of the salutary

inveterate diseases, after the glands were destroyed
and the bones already affected.
