ADVEATiSEMENTS. S Inhalation in C:tiiimption. RONCHITIS, LARYNGITIS, and - other Dis iastts of the Chest and Throat, successfully treat- I ed by the Inhalation of Medicated Vapors and Pow- practised at the otuyvesaui aieaicai xusmuie, inew York City. -The unprecedented success which has attended this method of treating diseases of the Lungs and Throat has induced us to depart from our usual course, and ourselves of the columns of the press, in oriler to bring it to the kuowledge of such a may be laborii-g ; under or predisposed to such atl'ections. The dawn j of a brighter day has at length arrived for the Con sumptive; the doctrine ot the incurability of consump tion having at length passed away. We have indubi table proofs in our possession that Consumption iu all Ub stages can be cured! in the first, by tubercular ab sorption; in the second, by the trcusiormatior.s of the tubercule into chalky and calcareous coucrettoiis. ;n the third by cicatrices, or scars. Tiiose wedded to tbe opinions of the past may assert, that eveu now, consumption is incurable, such are behind ihi: age. To all; this great truth must be apparent, viz: that the mediciues inhaled in the form of vapor or Powder u. rectlv into the Luugs. must be iiiucb more effective than that taken into the Stomach, where the disease docs not exist. The advantage of Inhalation in Con sumption and Throat diseases is. that med'eine in the form of Vapor is applied directly to the Lungs, where the disease exists; the stomach is thus I "ft free to aid in restoring health, by administering to it a healthy, lifsgiving food. There is no case so hop-.-less that hai'ou will not reach! The means, too. are brought within the reach of all. the manner of administering the Vapors being so simple that tbe invalid is never required to leave home, where the hand of friendship and affection tends) so much to aid the physician's efforts. . The Inhalation method is soothing, safe and ready and consists in the administration of medicine in such manner, that they are conveyed into the Lungs in i the form ofvapor and produce their action at the seat of the disease. Its practical success is destined to re volutionise the opinions oi tbe medical world and establish the entire curability of Consumption . I earnestly appeal to the common sense of all affile- j ted with Luug diseases, to embrace at once the advan tage of Inhalation, and no longer apply medicine to the uuo.Teading stomach. I claim for Inhalation a place amongst the priceless gilts that nature and art hath given us. that -'our day may be long in tbe land," aud as the only ark of safety for the consump tive; a method not only rauoaai. but Simple ana em- cacious. sucni me profession mat nave aaopieu Inhalation have found it efficacious m the highest de ! gree. arresting the progress of the'disease and work ing wonders in many desperate eases, in verdity. a signal triumph of our art over this fell destroyer of our species. . - . - Notk.
