What I did say wjis that all horse-thieves are Democrats," and as the con gregation was in sympathy with the parson, the explanation was satisfactory. It would be unfair to say that all the supporters of McKinley f or, the Presidency are free silver freaks, but it is entirely truthful to say that all free silver freaks within the Republican party or hanging about its edges, are fav orable to McKinley's nomination. Why they are so is not left to surmise or doubt. They prefer McKinley because they believe that he of all the prominent can didates, is most friendly to the free silver theory and the degra dation of our currency to the standard of the Pagan.
