o'clock, a serious wreck occurred on
the Asheboro division of the South-

ern at the eight miles post from High
Point and one mile tnis 6ide of Gien
jla. The wieck was caused by a
broken fish plate, which broke a rail,
and it occurred in a steep curve.
Two passenger coaches with some
twenty passengers and one box car

lish a system of underwriting storage
warehouses; plant more corn and
other food stuns, supply your smoke
house and meal bin from your own
corn cribs; trust one another in this
common cause for the South's re
demption, aud follow implicity your
chosen leaders, and all wiil be well.,"
And Mr. Jordan, in his clear, force
ful, facts-giving, uncontrovertible,
earnest and honest talk made success
so certain, that it is already at iiaud if

belt of the South but stand by the
organization to a finish. And we be
lieve that his visit and great speech
